KANGAROO COLLECTION: ONLINE
Ages 4-8 yrs old
In our 10 classes this fall, we'll drum, sing, move, and play to rhythms inspired by musical traditions around the world. As your child learns to think and create like a musician, they’ll also gain valuable skills they’ll be able to take to the elementary school classroom and beyond: confidence, focus, leadership, cognitive flexibility, and more.

2020 Holiday Song Party!

We'll jingle like bells, twirl like snowflakes, and fa la la with your little ones at home as we celebrate with tunes of the season! You'll be emailed a list of items from around the house that we'll use in this festive singalong of songs you know and love (and maybe something new to you, too!)

JAGUAR COLLECTION: ONLINE, $160 per family (no sibling fee)
Ages 4-8 yrs old
In our 9 classes this fall, we'll drum, sing, move, and play to rhythms inspired by musical traditions around the world. More about the great music of the Jaguar Collection:
The Jaguar Rhythm is adapted from the duple-meter drumming patterns of Puerto Rico's Bomba dancing, an interplay where the drummer tries to follow the dancer's movements. We'll get to try it out ourselves with the song "Bailen Niños." We'll sing, dance and drum along to the lively patterns of "Ayiko, Ayiko," a welcome song from Southern Ghana. In "Singing' My Song," we'll sing and move to our own song...and everyone else's! And, perhaps best of all, we'll get to experience the joys of being a "Jaguar in the Jungle." All 22 selections in this collection have been chosen and arranged specifically to support each student's music development.

Mixed Age Class- OUTSIDE! 6/15-7/22
$114 1st child, including materials, $70 2nd child over 9 mo. (Limited spots available due to distancing requirements. Note that in the event of rain, etc. there is one outdoor class makeup date at the end of the semester, and beyond that we would move a rained-out class online to Zoom.)
OUTSIDE (0-5yo) HARMONICA: Tue 8:45-9:20 am, Tue 9:30-10:05 am
Mixed Age Class- ONLINE! 6/15-7/22

Our live Zoom classes will be streamed to a private FB group as well, so you can watch them later as well, and are supplemented with an extra "mini-class" live video during the week.

FALL '21: TREE FROG Collection
With the Tree Frog Collection, we'll learn four drumming patterns and we'll clap, stomp, and drum along to the lively beat of "Let Me Hear You" and do some zydeco line dancing in "Alligator Zydeco. "Alligator Slide" with its funky groove will give us a chance to experience a day in the life of an alligator. We'll also delight in sharing the song "Tue Tue," a Ghanaian children's singing game. All 18 selections in this collection have been chosen and arranged specifically to support your child's music development.

Online
With Music Together Online, you’ll have access to the same high-quality music and movement curriculum loved by millions of families and teachers around the world—from home!
During each live/interactive mini-class, Teacher Sylvia will lead activities for you and your whole family to sing, play, and jam along to. We’ll be using the Maracas collection, and Sylvia will show you how to make everyday items like dish towels, pots, laundry baskets, and stuffies into musical props! Even though your teacher is on the screen, each class has been designed as an active music-making experience for little ones and their grownups. Mixed-age classes are designed for children under 5, and Rhythm Kids is for ages 4-8, but the entire family is welcome (and encouraged!) to participate in the musical fun.

The KANGAROO Collection!
The Kangaroo Rhythm features drumming patterns inspired by the Australian didgeridoo. We'll learn a traditional song and "sit-down dance" from the Torres Strait Islanders called "Taba Naba"; and with "Hand in Hand," we'll explore body percussion and sing a three-part round. We'll jam and solo-sing to the reggae beat of "Every Day's a Good Day" and, of course, have lots of fun moving like "Krazy Kangarooz"! All 18 songs in this collection have been chosen and arranged specifically to support each student's music development.

2023 Holiday Song Fun & Cookie Party!

A two class session of holiday favorites makes wintertime music magical... We'll jingle bells, twirl like snowflakes, and fa la la with your little ones to celebrate songs of the season- with a sweet cookie party after the second class to top off the fun! (We make sure to take any allergies into account so everyone has tasty and safe options.)
